Over the course of Matt’s career, there have been several consistent themes in the roles he has undertaken, including technology leadership, helping businesses to establish a strategic direction and roadmap for their technology, and taking on challenging roles that have required the establishment, realignment or recovery of a project or technical team.

Matt has extensive and broad business and technical experience across both the private and public sectors. He has held a range of roles, including Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, Strategy and Architecture Manager, Manager Strategic Projects, and Chief Information Officer.

Matt has also managed and led many complex technology modernisation and transformation projects, including Cloud migration projects (Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics 365), and provides results-driven leadership. For example, Matt recently led the design and implementation of a Zero Trust Security Architecture as part of an overall Cloud migration programme for an NZ Government organisation. Matt is particularly valued for his holistic problem-solving approach and his ability to challenge conventional wisdom to good effect.

Working with IQANZ over the last six years, Matt has provided Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) services to many NZ Government and private sector organisations and is well equipped to lead complex technical reviews.”
