Ross McKenna

Ross is a senior business and IT professional with over 20 years’ experience in the management and oversight of IT programmes, projects and delivery teams, including Cloud migration and integration, Cyber Security uplift, Data and Analysis systems, Telecommunications, Datacentre infrastructure and Workplace.
Ross has significant experience in people leadership, programme, project and IT system risk review, assurance and remediation, and IT programme design and establishment in both the public and private sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining IQANZ as Associate Director in 2020, Ross’ recent experience includes nine years leading the technology programme delivery function and teams at the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), which involved project and programme assurance as well as the establishment of effective governance and risk management controls – covering both Waterfall and Agile delivery.
Ross is a registered Gateway Reviewer in New Zealand and Australia and has completed many independent reviews for IQANZ and the Government of Victoria. In addition, Ross has led large New Zealand Government programmes of work (e.g., Connected Health, Gambling Regulation), established strong relationships in the Health, Banking and Government sectors, and led the Professional Services functions for Datacom and Fujitsu.
